Pavel Tsatsouline's Fast and Loose - A Review Review – Fast and Loose
Since Pavel Tsatsouline is the author of so many great books that I have enjoyed reading, when I realized that he
had a DVD out as well, I knew that this was going to be a must see for me. I was so excited about this DVD that I had to have it as soon as
possible, and I have to say that I definitely was not disappointed once I viewed the DVD. If you have already read some of Pavel’s books, you’ve
probably noticed that he focuses on building strength and using tension to maximize your strength; however, this DVD totally focuses on a
different part of performance – relaxation. You see, while it is important that you use tension for performance, it is important that you know
and understand how to use relaxation for performance as well.
Learning how to use relaxation is one thing that all the great athletes learn how to do. Pavel is a fitness expert
that is from the country of Russia and he brings to this DVD various discoveries and techniques that are used in the Soviet Union. Scientists in
the Soviet have found that the higher level an athlete is at, usually he can more quickly use relaxation to get his muscle relaxed. So, when you
control tension and relaxation, you are able to get the best possible performance.
If you are looking for ways to become a better performer then it is going to be important that you learn to master
both tension and relaxation. While there are some people seem to just have the ability to relax naturally; however, not everyone does. But,
according to Pavel, when you work to master relaxation you can totally transform your abilities and surpass the limitations that you currently
have. The secrets that have been used in the Soviet for training are revealed by Pavel in this book so that you can learn how to master
relaxation within your own body.
While this is only a 27 minute DVD, it is jam-packed full of great, helpful information that is practical. Some of
the things you’ll learn in this DVD include how you can hit harder, kick faster, and recover sooner from your workouts. You will learn how you
can keep yourself loose and finally get to the cutting edge if you are competing in the martial arts. Learning to relax will also help you learn
how to keep from pulling muscles and it will help you to take your physical efficiency and totally enhance it to improve your techniques, whether
in martial arts or other sports that you are involved in. Also, this DVD will show you how you can use a special technique for breathing that
will really get you relaxed.
Although many people think that they have to push and push to get better at their chosen sport or martial art, many
do not realize that relaxation may be the key to getting to the next level. Pavel shows how important relaxation is for anyone interested in
going the distance in sports or the martial arts. There are great drills and exercises that are given on the DVD that can help you learn how to
relax your body for the optimum results.
The only problem you may find with the DVD is that it does not emphasize being fast as much as it could. As I see
it, loosening up and relaxing can definitely help improve your performance; however, I would prefer to see a few more exercises that focus on
using these techniques to help improve and develop better speed. Also, some may find it to be a bit on the short side; however, there is still a
lot of great material to be found on this DVD.
While it is only 27 minutes long, I still have found that it was well worth the $29.95 that it cost to purchase
this DVD. Would I like a bit more from it? Yes! However, I am still very thrilled with the new ideas and exercises that Pavel introduces in this
DVD.
